Meet Our Team

Katherine Brown

Owner

Fitness has always been a big part of my life.  I started CrossFit in 2010.  I decided to give it a try because I didn’t have the time to go to a traditional gym and see the results I wanted.  CrossFit was in and out within the hour and I was doing things I never would have done on my own.

What really made me fall in love with CrossFit was the environment.  I loved having the coach there to help me, provide me with a workout and push myself to finish when I know I would have otherwise stopped.  I gained so much confidence in myself through crossfit.  I did more than I ever thought was possible and THAT is what I want for everyone else too.

I got my L1 in 2017 and became part owner of Gila Valley CrossFit.  I also have my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certificate in Exercise Nutrition as well as my Kids CrossFit certification.  My all time favorite WOD is Murph.  It is both mentally and physically challenging.

I love mud runs and have done several including Tough Mudder twice and have ran 6 half marathons throughout the US and Canada.  I LOVE bringing people with me for both the adventure of seeing new places and accomplishing something they never thought possible.

Kale Tanner

Coach

I started CrossFit in 2013 and became a Level 1 coach in 2016.  A few years later I got my Level 2.

I really wanted to become a coach so I could share little tips on how to perform better so the athletes could excel.  From this experience, I am current going to school to be a Physical Therapist.

Between my experience in the military and CrossFit, I wanted to give back by helping people recover from injury and then maintain their health through mobility and wellness for the future.  My favorite Wod is Murph.

I was introduced to CrossFit by a couple of guys I worked with in December 2012.  They had been trying to get me to go for a while.  I finally agreed because I could only go 1 day that week and that would be enough that they would have to leave me alone.  I worked out on a Wednesday and was so sore, I couldn't walk, sit, stand or pee for days!  I ended up going back the following Monday and signing up for a membership and have been hooked ever since.

I got my L1 Certification in June of 2018.  My favorite workout is probably Annie even though she whoops me and Murph is probably the most emotional and difficult.  I love lifting and am currently getting back to a 300lb deadlift and a 250lb back squat.

The people are what makes CrossFit such an amazing thing for me and I always enjoy watching everyone crushing their goals every day in the gym

Tiffany Faunce-Coach

I grew up playing multiple sports such as softball, soccer, and volleyball. I went on to play softball in college. I love the competitiveness of organized sports. After having my second son, I was completely out of shape and missed competition. I started CrossFit in July of 2012. I quickly fell in love with the competitiveness and community that CrossFit breeds. I currently hold a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer Certification. and started coaching in 2017. I truly enjoy helping others to accomplish things they never thought possible. I intend to continually expand my CrossFit education to further assist others.
